Tayvin Saks is an Airport Consultant and Aviation Group Leader for the South-
ern California region and has been with Jacobs since 2015 working on our aviation
projects. Tayvin received both his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from
Stanford University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in California.

Over the past sixteen years, Tayvin has worked on various aspects of aviation includ-
ing engineering, management consulting, planning, design, construction, and pro-
gram/project management. Currently, he serve as the Principal Business Manager on
a multi-year prime contract with Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). The Jacobs
team, along with 33 SBEs/LBEs, provide project/construction management services
to support LAWA’s Landside Access Modernization Program, its Airline/Tenant Im-
provement Program, and its Capital Improvement Program.

To unwind, Tayvin likes to do a traditional preparation and presentation of tea called
the gongfu tea ceremony. It involves brewing tea with a lot more tea leaves and a lot
less water than how most people would usually make tea. In this approach, you create
a brew that tastes good and is satisfying to the soul. You continue to make multiple
infusions using the same tea leaves and taste the complex layers of flavors from this
extraordinary plant.
