PRESIDENT'S AWARD

Andy Jiang is the founder of AJ Construction, a group of independent companies spe-
cializing in construction, real estate investment, and management. With a background
in engineering and science, he holds a California general contractor license. As a first-
generation immigrant to the United States, his journey is closely linked to the CACP,
the esteemed organization that is honoring him with the President’s Award today.

Thirty years ago, Andy began his business in Los Angeles. At the same time, he dis-
covered the CACP at a seminar, a relatively unknown local construction association.
There, he found not only essential knowledge but also inspiration from successful
professionals who blazed the trail before him. Grateful for the benefits he received, he
committed himself to promoting the CACP name throughout his Southern California
                                       community.

As his real estate business expanded beyond Southern California, growing into
Northern California and out of state to Chicago, he recognized the need for a consistent
platform to support fellow professionals. He began to promote CACP across a wider
area. Over the years, his goals aligned with CACP’s mission to enhance members’ com-
petitiveness in both local and global markets. His dedication led him to serve five terms
as CACP president and two terms as national chairman. Under his leadership, along
with the efforts of all directors and the support of local leaders, CACP ventured beyond
its hometown for the first time, establishing local chapters in more than 18 cities and
regions. This national presence has sparked enthusiasm among local communities in
Los Angeles to join CACP, while cities beyond are drawn to a platform that celebrates
                                       their unique characteristics.

In 2018, during his second term as president, Andy initiated the Construction Out-
standing Award to recognize and promote emerging talents. This award has been cel-
ebrated every year since, with the sixth iteration coming in October 2024. Additionally,
he launched a Construction Expo to cultivate partnerships between material suppliers
and contractors and created 26 online chat groups where questions are asked and an-
swered in real time. For his lifelong commitment to service, Andy was honored with the
2024 President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, signed by current United States Presi-
dent Joseph Biden. This award underscores the vital role of volunteer efforts in building
                                       a stronger nation.

On a personal note, Andy is blessed with an understanding wife, a son who graduated
from UC Berkeley and works at Meta, and a daughter who is pursuing her MBA at Yale
                                       while working at Apple.
