William Chen is a rising junior at
the University of California, River-
side, majoring in Computer Engineer- SCHOLARSHIP
ing. As a scholarship recipient, he has
demonstrated academic excellence and RECIPIENT
a strong commitment to his field. Wil-
liam also has a passion for competitive
chess, having achieved a peak rating of
1700.
Currently, he is focused on advanc-
ing his engineering skills and is ac-
tively working towards participating
in the RoboSub national competition,
where he aims to apply his knowledge
in robotics and autonomous systems.
Eager to gain practical experience, he
is pursuing engineering internships
and is open to any opportunities that
will help him grow professionally and
contribute to innovative projects.
Looking ahead, William plans to
obtain a master's degree in Computer
Engineering to further deepen his ex-
pertise and enhance his career pros-
pects. Outside of school, he enjoys
boxing and playing water polo, activi-
ties that keep him physically active and
disciplined. These pursuits reflect his
well-rounded approach to life, balanc-
ing academic excellence with physical
fitness and teamwork.
